Alameda County History Day

Parking: Parking will be on the street around the school.

 

Arrival / Drop Off Area: Projects and People may be dropped off on Excelsior Avenue.

 

Refreshments: There is no food available at the school so bring your own snacks and drinks.

 

Interview Times and Schedule:  Teachers were sent this list.  Students will also receive this information when they register on Saturday.

 

Entrance to History Day will be via the Excelsior Ave gate entrance (all other doors will be locked from the outside). See attached map.

 

Parking: Is on the streets around the school. There will be a drop off area near the Excelsior Avenue Gate.

 

Refreshments: There will be minimal refreshments at the school, but there are restaurants nearby. Bring your own snacks and drinks.   

 

Registration: Students and Teachers - 10:00am-12pm: Will be in the Quad Area. (See attached schedule). 

 

Rain:  It looks like it will rain so registration will be in the cafeteria like last time. Students should take rain precautions with their projects.

Program: There will be a printed program all students and parents will receive at the contest.  There will also be a printed document to show students/parents what to do in the area.

 

Name Badges: We ask all students and teachers to register and to wear their name badges. This tells us who our participants are at the contest.

 

Awards: The top 3 projects in each category will advance to State History Day / National History Day – California in May. The top 3 finishers will receive “champion” medals and the fourth place finisher will receive a Runner Up medal. The runner up may attend State History day if one of the champions is not able to attend.
